This study is devised to assess the effects of conflict triggered displacements on human security of Sululta relocated people as a result of conflict between Oromo and Somali. This work tends to answer the following research questions; what are the effects of conflict triggered displacements on human security of the sufferers and possible prospective measures to be taken. In this investigation qualitative research design is mainly employed to collect, analyze and interpret data from purposively designed sample populations. Interview, FGD and secondary data analysis are the major instruments of data collections from both primary and secondary sources. The major findings reveals that conflict triggered displacement undermines human security aspects of the victims. Thus, they are marginalized from the socio political, economic, environmental, and psychological and other cultural as well decision making on factors affecting their life due to conflict. Relocation of people from lowland ecological areas to highland ecological areas by itself results in ecological security crisis. The process of resettlement in this context poorly conceived the needs of the victims. Hence, the study recommends that relocation process should consider the needs of the victims. The research further acclaims scholarly research and innovative policy measures that promote peace.
