dc.description.abstractThis study intended to investigate the relationship between training and employee performance in the five star hotels in Addis Ababa. The specific objectives were to investigate whether training content, training delivery mode, and training delivery frequency affects the performance of the employees. The study is explanatory and quantitative research method was employed to undertake the study. Questionnaire was the instrument used to gather data from primary sources. The number of sample respondents was 289 from 1543 population. The study made use of descriptive and inferential statistics to analyze the data. The study found out that the three variables of training investigated were keys in determining employee performance. Three Hypotheses are developed to see the relationship of all the independent variables with the Employee Performance. The finding reveals that the relationship between Training Practice, Delivery Mode, and Delivery Frequency and employee performance is positive and significant. The research has confirmed that training has a relationship with employee performance.
