dc.description.abstractThe study aimed at measuring the determinants of technology adoption: The case of CBE employees. The study utilized descriptive and explanatory survey design based on the Technology Acceptance Model and Subjective Norm from Theory of Reasoned Action. A convenience sampling method was used to select three hundred eighty five respondents from twelve Commercial Bank of Ethiopia city branches in Addis Ababa. Four hypotheses were formulated to guide the study and a structured questionnaire was employed to collect data. The four hypotheses were analyzed using correlations and regression analysis. Major findings showed that perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use and subjective norm significantly contributed to behavioral intension surrounding the bank employees’ use of new technology. In addition, subjective norm of employees and the two measures of employees’: perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use significantly contributed to employees’ behavior to use new technology. The result of this study implies that the independent variables that have been found to have significant contributions should be taken into consideration when commercial bank of Ethiopia’s management desire to improve the adoption of new technology. The finding of this study recommended that management in commercial bank of Ethiopia should ensure that employees’ are involved in the procurement and adoption of new technology.en_US
