dc.description.abstractThe purpose of the study was to examine factors affecting Timely Delivery of Packages in Courier and Logistics Business in Ethiopian postal service enterprise. The study was guided by the following specific objectives; to determine the effect of operational related issues on timely delivery of courier service, to assess the relationship between human related issues & timely delivery of courier service, to determine the effect of logistical capability issues on timely delivery of courier service, to examine the relationship between Addressing System & Road Congestion & timely delivery of courier service, to determine if there is a relationship between Customs & Carriers Performance and on time delivery of courier service and to assess the relationship between Customer Related Issues and timely delivery of courier service in EMS Ethiopia. Quantitative research approaches and Explanatory research design was used to identify and examine factors that affect the performance of timely delivery the case company. The total population numbers of purposively selected respondents were taken as the sample size of the study. The data was collected using a questionnaire comprised of 54 close-ended questions with Likert scale. Based on the findings, all of the independent factors were found to have positive and significant correlation with the dependent variable which is timely delivery of courier packages. The ANOVA test result showed that, the value of R and R2 obtained under the model summary was statistically significant. The multiple linear regression analysis revealed that, 5 of the 6 independent variables (operational related issue, human factor related issue, logistical capability issue, addressing system & road congestion and customs & carriers) have a statistically significant relationship to predict on time delivery performance. Based on these findings, a recommendation that will improve on time delivery of courier package has been forwardeden_US
