| dc.description.abstract | Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the factors affecting ECPT adoption in Ethiopian banking industry particularly in the selected commercial Banks Design, methodology, and approach: Using respondents from the population of bank card holders and non-holder clients of the four chosen commercial banks in Addis Ababa, this study examines factors influencing ECPT adoption. This study uses sampling techniques to create a homogeneous sample from the population. As a result, 400 respondents from these clients are chosen as the study's target respondent‘s .In this study, a quantitative methodology with a deductive approach was selected. The primary data gathered through questionnaire was processed using SPSS version 20.00 for Windows. The relationship among perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, social influence, marketing communication, compatibility to intention ECPT adoption of bank card users is examined in this research. Findings: To evaluate the hypotheses, multiple regression analysis was used. The study's key conclusions are that social influence, perceived ease of use, and marketing communication all have a positive effect on the adoption of ECPT contrarily; Perceive risk has significantly a negative effect.
