dc.description.abstract: Esophageal cancer ranked 7th globally in terms of incidences and also 6th in causing death. Inflammation is a major factor in the emergence and spread of malignancies. Though little investigated in our set up, parameters like the Neutrophil count and Neutrophil to Lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and Platelet to Lymphocyte ratio (PLR), and Mean Platelet Volume (MPV) were reported as predictive inflammatory markers of esophageal cancer.
