Abstract
The purpose of the study is to investigate the mediating role of leaders’ personality traits on the
relationship between organizational culture and employee performance. To conduct this study,
161 survey questionnaires were prepared and distributed to 161 employees and leaders, and
161, that is, 100 percent, were filled out and returned. To gather relevant data, a five-option
Likert’s scale survey questionnaire’ was developed and used. The collected data are analyzed by
a descriptive, explanatory, and cross-sectional design with a quantitative research approach
using SPSS 25 and Amos 23 software. SEM is used to test the relationship between organization
culture and employee performance and leaders personality traits. Test reliability by using
Crohan alpha, and to meet the accepted threshold values, the discriminant and convergent
validity, composite reliability, and AVE check. The findings of this study indicated that in the
four Denison organizational culture models, the involvement attribute, practices in MOI, was
low, and the other attribute consistency, adaptability and mission, leader personality traits, and
employee performance, had a moderate level of practices. The SEM results revealed that
organization culture has a significant positive direct and indirect relationship with employee job
performance, as well as a significant positive direct relationship with leader personality traits
and leader personality traits with job performance. And also, the model shows that leaders’
personality traits partially mediate the relationship between organizational culture and
employee performance. Therefore, MOI should focus on raising and developing the good
personalities of leaders that have a great impact on employees' motivation and high performance
and on creating and fostering a positive and strong organizational culture.
