Domestic wastewater management and reuse is a critical issue in Ethiopia, including Addis Ababa. The study therefore employed a mixed-methods research design to investigate the factors affecting domestic wastewater management and reuse in Yeka Sub-city of Woreda 04 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The study used purposive sampling method to select 390 respondents. Descriptive statistics and thematic analysis were used to analyze the data collected through a questionnaire and in-depth interviews. The percentage of male participants in the study was 264 (67.4%), which was higher than that of female participants, 126 (32.3%). The study found that community culture, organizational structures and plans, urban growth, infrastructure and technologies influence domestic wastewater management in Woreda 04. The study revealed that domestic wastewater use is increasing especially for irrigation purposes in the Woreda and surrounding areas, which needs to be duly addressed. Therefore, the Woreda must work in cooperation with communities, governmental and non-governmental organizations to improve the quality of the environment and the healthy life of residents, without which sustainable development could not be achieved.
