dc.description.abstractSupply chain management (SCM) has become a means of securing competitive advantage and improving organizational performance since competition is no longer between organizations, but among supply chains. This study examines the relationship of supply chain management practices (strategic supplier partnership (procurement and supply management), transportation and logistics management, customer relationship management, level of information sharing, and internal lean practice) with operational and organizational performance. Data for the analysis were collected from employee of Ethiopian industrial inputs development enterprise and the relationships proposed in the conceptual frame work were tested by using inferential statics. The finding confirmed that, among supply chain management practices; strategic supplier partnership, customer relationship management have statistically significant contribution to the competitiveness of the enterprise. On the other hand, level of information sharing, time to market and product delivery dependability has statistically significant contribution to the overall performance of the enterprise. Since, today’s competition is among the supply chain management practices, the enterprise have to address those practices that have statistical significant.
