The major purpose of this study was to explore the compatibility between the mandate objective of the Ethiopian national association of the blind and the expected interest of the members on its service. The method used was that of qualitative research approach with case study design and also the data were collected using semi-structured interview. To this end 9 members were the participants of the study, which intern purposive sampling was the sampling technique that is selected for this research. The data were analyzed thematically so as to respond to the research questions. The result of the study indicated that the mandate objective and performance of the Ethiopian national association of the blind and the expected interest of the members on its service is Incompatible. Members would like to see a society in which the equal opportunity and full participation and rights of blind persons are fully realized. However, Due to the association's low level of attention to conduct a research and reply for the interest of members periodically, their vision remained unreciprocated. Although ENAB is a veteran association with a total of more than 13,000 active members, Because of its weaknesses in providing awareness-raising and advocacy activities, making education and information accessible and contribute for the independence living of its members the sense of ownership among members about their association is declining from time to timeen_US
