Abstract
Accurate and reliable calculation of the ellipticity parameter is very important in
order to theoretically study the gravitational waves emitted by pulsars which is a hot
research area in the field astrophysics. Ellipticity is a result of lack in symmetry of
spherical bodies. In the case of pulsars rotation and magnetic fields are the causes
of deformation. According to relativistic plasma diffusion model for neutron star
magnetic fields, the surface magnetic field of neutron stars depends on their rotation
frequency. Hence it can be deduced that the parameter ellipticity depends on the
rotational frequency.
But gravitational and magnetic dipole radiations affect the rotational frequency of
pulsars which in turn will also affect the parameter ellipticity. In this work we will
estimate the contributions of gravitational and dipole radiations to the parameter
ellipticity
