| dc.description.abstract | This thesis focuses on the Mss of Gadla Abuna Muse. The reason why the researcher selected this topic is that the Gadl contains much valuable new information. It is not well known among the general public and has not been studied deeply by scholars, although it constitutes a rich source of historical, religious and cultural events of the epoch. The study uses a comparative methodology, whereby two mss, that is, mss Yad;)ba Mar;)yam (MAl, Yab ra Mad;)hane'alem (MB), are compared for their similarities and differences. Chapter one consists of the background of the study, review of related literature, statement of the problem, as well as the objectives, methodology, scope and significance of the study. In Chapter two, the researcher makes an analysis, including a list of the four mss of Gadla Abuna Muse. Chapter three includes a historical analysis of the Gadl and biography of Abuna Muse. Chapter four presents a critical edition of a small part of Gi:idli:i Abuna Muse based on the two manuscripts MA and MB. In chapter five, the researcher presents a few comparative and philological notes on the Mss. Chapter six presents the conclusion and recommendations. | en_US |
