Abstract
The purpose of this study is describes the causes of conflict between residential real estate companies and their customers as well as the conflict resolution practice they apply by taking the case of Zenebe Firew Real Estate Company and its customers. Primary and secondary data for the study were obtained through in – depth interview and questionnaire with the employees and customers of the company respectively as well as through the analysis of documents of the company that are related to the study. As a result, the study revealed that the major causes of the conflicts are failure in timely delivery of houses; cost escalation; quality and infrastructure problem. In addition, the company used accommodation, compromising and collaboration styles to resolve the conflicts they faced. The assessment was done by taking customer satisfaction as a parameter in the time, cost and quality point of view. Therefore, the study recommends the company to review the main causes of the conflicts and tackle them for the future in order to gain customer satisfaction with the company work.
