Abstract
Many organizations carry out their business tasks using the project-based approach. Realization of projects requires effective and diligent communication strategies which calls for communication management that has importance to the area of project management, and because of its impact on the success of the project. However, despite the existence of numerous communication medium and approaches, still there are communication management factors that influence the success of the project delivery in the Ethiopian healthcare projects. The purpose of this case study is to find out communication management factors that influence project success for successful project delivery in the Ethiopian healthcare projects. Qualitative method was adopted to identify the communication management factors that influence project success for successful project delivery. Semi-structured questionnaire was used in purposely selected 20 samples to have a detailed data with participants knowledgeable on the study subjects. Narrative data analysis technique was employed. The findings indicate that project stakeholder communication practices depend on the project phase, which varies with project’s life cycle; and communication focused on different stakeholder groups (internal and external) in the different stages of project life cycle. Behavioral and structural factors were found to be the challenges of effective communication. The study recommended that ensuring proper and effective project communication through good personal contact with team members and stakeholders, developing positive relationships and obeying fundamental rules of clear and positive communication is so compulsory for projects to succeed
