dc.description.abstract | Members of the African Union have adopted AfCFTA in 2018. The thesis analyses how and to what extent the agreement has integrated environmental matters. It argues that the members have followed a short-sighted path of economic growth which neglects environmental consideration in a continent which is suffering from severe ecological stress. To that end the study recommends the amendment of the agreement itself and the adoption of environmental cooperative agreement within its framework with the objective of making it greener. | en_US |
