Concrete is one of the most popular construction materials, due to this reason production of sustainable concrete and trying to increase its properties, uses and applications is the most crucial factor to be considered in construction fields. The utilization of waste tyre rubber can mitigate the problematic issues of normal concrete which are brittleness, cracks and shrinkage, and low energy absorption. This research primarily focused on finding the best way of producing concrete with highly energy dissipation capacity by use of waste tyre rubber as a component material. On the other hand the management of waste tyre rubber is a major ecological and environmental problem in the world. The use of waste tyre rubber into the concrete can reduce this global problem. In this study, the performance of shredded waste tyre rubber as partial replacement of coarse aggregates in C-25 grade of concrete mix at different ratios and its effect on concrete properties like compressive strength, flexural strength split tensile strength and dynamic properties were investigated. The shredded waste tyre rubber was used to partially replace at ratios of 5%, 10% ,15% , 20%, and 25% the volume of coarse aggregate in concrete mix. Results from laboratory tests indicated that the replacement of waste tyre rubber in the concrete as coarse aggregate showed the reduction on strength of concrete (compressive strength, split tensile strength, flexural strength); workably and dry density of rubberized concrete below the nominal concrete mixtures with the increasing of waste tyre rubber ratio. On the other hand, replacing coarse aggregate with waste tyre rubber can improve dynamic properties of concrete. It was observed that the damping ratio increased with an increase in applied string and impact load as well as with an increase in waste tyre rubber content in concrete mix.en_US
