| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of the study was to assess the effect of job satisfaction on performance of administrative staffs in Addis Ababa University. The study made use of both primary and secondary data sources. The required data was collected through the administration of questionnaire and in-depth interview. Questionnaires were administered for 407 administrative staffs from which 380 responded. In-depth interviews for management staff were conducted to elicit their responses on job satisfaction and its effect on performance. Descriptive statistics such as frequencies, percentages, mean and standard deviation were used. The study indicated extrinsic and intrinsic job satisfaction factors influence the level of employees’ job satisfaction in the university. The study concludes that job satisfaction and determinants of job satisfaction highly influenced employees’ work performance. The study recommends the management of AAU should make improvement on job satisfaction and job satisfaction factors in order to increase employees’ work performance which maintains high level of productiveness in the organization. | en_US |
