Technology University in March 2019 using self-administered structured questionnaire. Three
hundred female students were selected by simple random sampling technique and participated in the
study. Data was entered by Epi info version 7 and has been analyzed by using SPSS version 21.
Descriptive statistics such as frequency, percentage, mean, median and proportions were calculated.
Binary logistic regression was applied to explore exposure variables factors associated with sexual
violence. The result was presented using appropriate frequencies, proportions, odds ratio by a 95%
confidence interval. Variables with p-value less than 0.05 were considered to have a significant
association with sexual violence.
Result: The mean age of students was found to be 20.8 (SDĀ±1.39). Of the total respondents, 23.4 %
faced sexual violence after joining the university and rape (41.4 %) was the most encountered sexual
violence. 33.1 % perceived that they are vulnerable to sexual violence. Among total respondents, 71.2
