dc.description.abstractThe main objective of this study is to examine how used digital finance in Ethiopia. The specific objectives are to examine different digital finance services available in Ethiopia and identify the challenges faced by commercial banks and customers in digital finance in Ethiopia. The study used descriptive method of study based on quantitative and qualitative approach. The population of interest in this study comprised 24 commercial banks operating in Ethiopia out of those eleven commercial banks are selected using a purposive sampling method. The study used primary data. The study highlights several challenges that impede the development of digital financial services in Ethiopia. These include a gap in awareness and knowledge among customers and government agencies such as the National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE), network fragility, frequent power interruptions, security concerns, and poverty. In light of these challenges, the study recommends that the Ethiopian government focus on improving network efficiency, raising customer awareness, and implementing adequate security measures to expand digital financial services
