Abstract
An epidemiological study on gastromtestinal tract nematodiasis of small ruminants in three
different agro•ecologlcal zones of southern Ethiopia was carried out from August 2004 to
April 1005 on 180 gastrointestinal tracts and 2, 28 faecal samples collected from sheep and
goals to Identify nematode species. detennine the occurrence and factors related to the
nematode infection. The study w as carried out through post•mortem examInJtIon and
coproJogicaJ examinations using floatation and McMaster egg counting methods.
