Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the problems related to time management problems of secondary and preparatory school teachers in kolfe keranyo sub-city of Addis Ababa city Administration. For the study the secondary and preparatory schools were selected using purposive sampling technique, while the respondents were selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using closed and open ended questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. The participants of the study were selected by using purposive sampling techniques based on their ability to help the researcher understand the problem and research questions. From the selected sample schools, 12 school principals, J 51 teachers including department heads. 42 administrative workers and 40 teachers associations members found in the sub city were selected as a sample size by using simple random sampling technique. primary sources of data were used the questionnaires which contain both close - ended and open - ended items were administered to sample teachers, department heads, administrative staff and the teachers' association members. On the other hand , semi - structured interview was employed for 12 secondary schools' principals. After the relevant and sufficient data collected, it was organized, tabulated and presented under their respected categories in the form of numbers and percentages. Hence, the collected data indicated that there are many problems that pressure teachers to waste or manage time in the instructional delivery in the schools. Among the problems that contribute to teachers' current time management problems, lack of strategies of time management, unconscious on true reasons for procrastination, teachers & workers maintain a "To-Do" list priority and unsatisfactory school 's culture of time management. As the problems related to teachers time management, based on these findings it was recommended that improving the awareness of teachers on time management problems, motivate them to utilize their time lip to the maximum extent and taking appropriate actions on time wasters
