dc.description.abstracteffective communication and autonomy between health care professionals and women in labor, is one of the means for increasing the quality of care. It helps women feel informed and could plausibly also empower disadvantaged women to speak up about the care they receive. In this regard, limited information is currently known about communication skills and laboring mother’s autonomy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine health professional’s communication skills and laboring mother’s autonomy in selected governmental hospitals
