Abstract
In today’s work, organizations are in need of operating in highly dynamic environments where
key resources are scare and uncertainty in business opportunities is common. In addition to
these, the intense competition and ever changing customer demands forced organizations to
practice TQM for better performance. The objective of this paper was to examine the effect of
TQM practices on operation performance of Jupiter Trading.The research adopted a descriptive
and explanatory research design. To collect the data needed a closed ended survey
questionnaires were distributed to 175 targeted respondents using a simple random sampling
technique. To analyze the data collected, the study used Pearson correlation coefficient,
regression analysis and SPSS version 23. The finding of the study revealed and concluded that
TQM practices had positive and significant effects on operational performance. Hence, the
entire hypotheses formulated were accepted. The variables applied on the model explain
operational performance 49.2%. The study recommended that the organization should give a
great emphasis on the TQM practices applied on the study and should make additional research
on finding the other potential variables that have a significant effect.
