dc.description.abstractThis study was conducted on 210 (205 in the quantitative part and 5 in the qualitative one) women who had induced abortion after 20 days were asked. Its major purpose was to asses the psychosocial problems of induced abortion on study participants and the factors contributing to it. To this effect, a structured questionnaire was prepared and asked for the 205 women. questionnaire, To supplement the quantitative interview was held with 5 data women, gathered vza who were not participated in the questionnaire. The quantitative data w e re analyzed using frequency, percentage and Odds Ratio. The information obtained from interview was als o summarized qualitatively. The result revealed prevalence of psychosocial problems of induced abortion. Odds R atio also showed age, marital status, and numbers of abortion were significant with both psychological and social problems of induced abortion on women. On the other hand, educational status did not show significant associationwith both psychological and social problems of induced abortion on women. Whereas some factors like women's belief and attitude and decision problems were significant with social problems of induced abortion. Unders tanding the side effects or not of abortion before showed significant association with psychological proble ms of induced abortion on women.
