| dc.description.abstract | This study aimed to show the effect of outbound logistics practices on organizational performance, to assess the performance of outbound logistics of Habesha and identify the core challenges of the outbound practices. To meet the purpose of this study the researcher had used explanatory and descriptive research design. Consequently, due to the small size of the target population, a census study was used to develop the population of the research under discussion. A questionnaire was distributed to a total of 72 employees of Habesha working in the outbound logistics department and from the total 72 employees 58 respondent replied which is 80.5% rate response. The data that was collected through the questionnaire was analyzed by using descriptive and regression model statistics supported by SPSS. The result of the analysis revealed that outbound logistics practice has an impact on organizational performance: customer satisfaction, competitiveness, and cost reduction. Empirical findings of the study showed that Habesha brewery implements outbound logistics practices: order processing, transport management, full goods warehousing, and information flow management. However, there is late order request, unavailability, and delay of trucks. Thus, the company should work on the sales team to place an order earlier to avoid late order requests and the company should work with capable third-party logistics providers to avoid truck delay and unavailability. | en_US |
