Abstract
Effective and efficient supply chain performance (SCP) has become a potentially valuable
way of securing competitive advantage through enhancing SC and improving firm
performances since competition is no longer between organizations, but among supply
chains.(Qrunfleh and Tarafadar, 2006) The present study made an effort to investigate the
effect of information systems (ISs) on supply chain From sample design of 109 respondents
questionnaires were distributed and 105 were returned from which 1 was not correctly filled
and rejected. Therefore, 104 were effectively used for analysis that shows response rate of
95%. A total of 39 statements were presented to workers in the MOHA SOFT DRINKS S.C
through the structured questionnaire to measure their degree of agreement or disagreement
over company’s Information system, supply chain performance and organizational
performance. IS for efficiency, flexibility and comprehensiveness decision has a positive
significant correlation with supply chain performance. The correlation between supply chain
performance and firm performance has been tested. There is a medium positive relationship
between Supply chain performance and organizational performance. The causal relationship
were analysed using regression analysis and the result of the analysis shows information
system has influence on SCP and SCP also has influence on organizational performance.
Therefore in order to achieve better organizational performance it is better for the
organization to give due attention to further support the supply chain management by
application advanced information technologies
