Abstract
Multinational corporations, local companies, and social enterprises use various environmental
techniques in addressing their corporate social responsibility for sustainable environmental
management in Ethiopia. Using both primary and secondary data collection methodology, the
research has identified both the techniques they employ and the factors that oblige corporations
and social enterprises to engage in environmental preservation. The results imply that
corporations and social enterprises are contributing to sustainable environmental management
by offering knowledge creation education, open discussion on environmental issues, and
adopting different techniques to safeguard the environment. Corporations and social enterprises
engage in environmental management to influence of legislators, customers and competitors, on
the one hand and own responsibility, public recognition and improve relations with the local
