Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the factor which affects employees’ performance
in selected private banks in Ethiopia. Researcher was used both descriptive approach and
Explanatory approach. Secondary and primary data were used to collect the data. The
independent variable was organization culture, training and development, motivation and
Communication, while employee performance was dependent variable. Total of 396 sample
respondent were taken. The researcher was used simple random sampling to choose sample
respondents and the study area was selected by purposive sampling technique. From
questionnaires distributed to the sample respondents 340 questionnaires returned and the
remaining 56 were not. SPSS Version26 Software was used in analysis the data obtained from
respondents. And also correlation and multiple regression analysis were used to determine
the relationship among independent and dependent variables. The overall finding of the study
indicates that the independent variable (training and development, organizational culture,
motivation and communication) has strong and positive correlation with employees’
performance. The results of study indicate that the influence of organizational culture
contribution on the employees performance is insignificant which means they need to these
systems referring with another variable instead of organizational culture result clearly direct
the less effect of the employees performance, well as the other independent variable (training
and development, communication and motivation) has significant effect on employees
performance. Researcher’s recombination in the area was the bank should improve way
of training and development mechanisms by making performance based selection, by
developing check list to evaluate the effectiveness of training and development that was
provided by them and should improve front office recording system by using latest technology
and by improving the skill of employees for contacts of customers and kept well for easy of
accessibility.
