Abstract
The general purpose of this study was to of the study was the effect of work ethic on job performance in Ethiopian public institutions in the case of the Ethiopian central statistical office and the Ministry of FinanceSurvey is a descriptive and descriptive research approach used. The primary data from the survey will be used to carry out this survey. All 232 participants from the institution responded. The sampling method was stratified and was a simple random sampling method. Both primary and secondary materials were implemented. The descriptive statistics result shows that the practice of work ethics at the Ethiopian central statistical office and the Ministry of Finance is Accountability, honesty, Justice and respect and observing values. The result of the regression analysis indicated that effective of work ethics has a positive relationship with job performance that shows job is predicted and explained by the four types of work ethics. The study found that all four independent variables contributed a total of 62% to job performance. In other words, the effects of these four independent variables contributed to the dependent variable. Achievement was 62% and the remaining 38% were other variables not included in this study. The regression results show that accountability, integrity, fairness, respect, and adherence to values are positive and contribute significantly to the performance of the organization. Researchers say that the impact of work ethic has a significant impact on job performance. key Words: Accountability, honesty, Justice and respect and observing values.
