Abstract
This study examined the influence of logistics management on capital goods lease financing performance in the case of Development bank of Ethiopia. In order to obtain information from employees of the banks both Primary and secondary source of data tools were used. This study has taken the whole population from all Capital Goods Procurement and Supply Directorate and Lease Financing Follow up Directorate of Development Bank of Ethiopia. Accordingly, the study has 104 respondents and same number of questionnaires was distributed to employees as the population size is 104. But, only 94 were collected. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze demographic data and correlation, regression and tested for validity and reliability was used to analyze the five scaled questions. The data gathered through the questionnaire was analyzed by Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS). The statistic test was carried out to determine the significance of the independent variables on dependent variable. Simple linear regression analysis was also carried out to determine the effect of the independent variables on dependent variable. The simple linear regression analysis also showed a positive coefficient of 0.171, 0.295, 0.24 and 0.334 respectively for transport management, inventory management, order Processing management and information flow management respectively, which simply mean that there is strong positive relationship between logistic management systems with lease financing performance. In general, transport management, inventory management; order processing management and information flow management has positively impacted on lease financing performance of Development bank of Ethiopia. Finally, recommendations were forwarded based on the major findings so as the bank should work on the extent of using or utilizing logistics management indicators.
