Abstract

The goal of this study was to evaluate the factors that affect the logistics performance of ESL in the case of Kality port and terminal. The study objectively analyzed the important areas aimed at influencing logistics performance. To capitalize on the advantages of qualitative and quantitative methodologies mixed-methods research approach was used. The sample size was determined to be 83 using the Taro Yamane sample size determination algorithm, but only 80 were able to be collected and used for data processing. The data were filled in using a five-point Likert scale, and Cronbach's alpha was used to assess the measuring scale's reliability. Customs clearing and freight forwarding agents at KPT were given a closed-ended questionnaire. SPSS version 26 was used to analyze the gathered data. The Pearson correlation matrix is used to cross-check the relationship between independent and dependent variables. Multiple linear regression models were used to predict logistics performance from the characteristics that influence logistics performance. According to the findings, the independent variables explained 76.4% of logistical performance. The study's findings also revealed that KPT's overall performance level was low, and that political, managerial commitment, economic, employee-related issues, and technology elements are predictors of logistics performance effectiveness. The investigation found that there is a positive and statistically significant association between logistics performance parameters and logistics performance. Finally, those variables that affect logistics performance should be seriously studied and addressed for those within the branch office's control, while communication with stakeholders and relevant government entities is required for those beyond control
