Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between workforce diversity and employee performance in industrial parks referring to Hawassa Industrial Park - flagship. However, there were some selected differences for which the research is going to be formulated to independent variables videlicet ethnic, gender, age, and educational background and dependent variable (performance) which object the researcher to determining their positive effects on the employee performance. The primary data for the study were gathered from 18 factories operating in the park using a self- administered closed ended likert research questionnaire that investigates the research purpose and a quantitative randomly sampled research design with 18 strata was applied and a random sample of (n = 377) was determined from a population of 18282 labor employees by Kothari method that give each factory employee a chance of inclusion by sample and categorize them into homogeneous population. Questionnaires were distributed to these 377 randomly selected sampled respondents in different factories they were working in and then 7 respondents did not returned the questionnaires but the rest 370 were analyzed using SPSS version 20 and their final result was interpreted, discussed and recommendations were made.
