dc.description.abstract | Anemia is described as a decrease in hemoglobin concentration, hematocrit, or the number of red blood cells per litter that is less than what is considered normal for healthy people of the same age, sex, and race in the same environment. In 2019, global anemia prevalence was 39.8% in children aged 6-59 months. The prevalence of anemia in children under five was highest in the African Region, 60.2% and in Ethiopia it was 52.1%. | |
