dc.description.abstract | The study mainly focussed on the assessment of employees’ perceptions on the practice of employees’ performance evaluation and its challenges the case of commercial bank of Ethiopia (CBE) .For the population, employees of the bank who are working in Addis Ababa region are considered. A descriptive survey design has been used to reach on the desired outcome and sample of 423 employees were used to distribute the respective questionnaires and 92.43% of it are responded. The data is analysed using simple descriptive statistical tools such as mean, mode of frequency distribution and percentage with the help of a software known as SPSS software. Accordingly, the majority of the respondents have responded that the performance evaluation system of the Bank is more of controlling than coaching and developmental. That is focusing on controlling aspect only which is short term in nature instead of being future oriented and focused on long term developmental benefits. Finally, on the basis of the findings, possible conclusions and recommendations are given which can solve problems which were discovered in this study. | en_US |
