Biopsy plays a crucial role in diagnosing musculoskeletal tumors. While open biopsy is traditionally seen as the gold standard, recent literature indicates that percutaneous core needle biopsy yields comparable results while offering benefits such as being less invasive, having fewer complications, and being faster and more cost effective. This study aims to evaluate and compare the diagnostic accuracy and effectiveness of core needle biopsy against final surgical resection in musculoskeletal lesions.
