dc.description.abstract | Cholera is an acute illness caused by gram-negative bacteria, V. cholerae. Water is the main source of contamination. It's transmitted via the faecal-oral route. It’s characterized by acute severe diarrhea and vomiting, which leads to dehydration. If dehydration is not addressed immediately, it can lead to complications such as shock, renal failure, and death. By investigating the severity of dehydration, this research could potentially identify risk factors that may affect patient outcomes. The objective of this study is to assess the severity of dehydration and associated factors among cholera patients admitted to Tikur Anbessa and Zewditu Memorial Hospital. | |
