dc.description.abstractThe best way to characterize preeclampsia is as a syndrome particular to pregnancy that can impact almost all organ systems. Globally it contributes to 76,000 maternal deaths and 500,000 infant deaths annually.The second most common cause of maternal fatalities is preeclampsia. It is also a significant contributor to maternal and neonatal mortality as well as morbidity, particularly in low- and middle-income nations
