Abstract
Supply chain management (SCM) has become a fundamental element to improve
the efficiency and productivity in recent decades. The purpose of this paper was to
study the practice of supply chain management from the five SCM practice and the
challenges of SCM in ELFORA Agro Industry PLC. For achieving the objective of
this study, 45 Questionnaires’ were distributed by using random sampling
particularly stratified sampling technique for the employees who have knowledge
and awareness about different supply chain management and participate in the
practices, and 40 of they were successfully Completed and analyzed using
descriptive (mean and Standard Deviation) statically analysis.
Both Primary and Secondary Source of data were used for this Study. The method
of data collection was Interview and Questionnaire in the form of Closed and open
ended question. The Questionnaire was rated using five point’s likert Scale. The
major finding indicates that, most of SCM Practices are needs improvement with in
the ELFORA Supply chain; whereas, internal operation practice, IT and training
Practices are poorly applied. Willingness to share risk, unplanned orders financial
Impact, Subsequent design change, inventory fluctuation and employee
ineffectiveness are major challenges of the Company’s SC. The Study helps to
create awareness to ELFORA Company owners, and it gave Chance for others
who are interested on SCM Practice and Challenges to make further studies
