Abstract

The basic objective of this project work was thoroughly to assess the private housing real estate construc-tion project management system and factors affecting the project progress. The researcher used descrip-tive research method. The data collection tools were interview and questionnaires. A response rate was 93.33% and a questionnaire with an item of 15 was distributed to selected 45 professional engineers or the team members who are involved in the projects. The study might use descriptive and with mixed method research approach. The researcher has undertaken the selected real estate firms largely from a management perspective. To achieve this aim of project management system is studied its effectiveness and efficiencies. The current status of PMS, challenges to Implement PMS, improvement mechanism of PMS, and factors affecting project progresss and Organizational Behavior to Influence Project Man-agement System were incorporated this project work of project management system and factors affect-ing project progress.The issues of developed standardised project management system in the real estate firms that were identified as the major challenges. This project work would be assessed sector’s activi-ties and examined the empirical with the theoretical base and with the existing management models. Finally, this research aim is to provide a customizable project management system framework imple-mentation
