dc.description.abstractFarm Africa International humanitarian organization founded in 1985, working with smallholder farmers and forest communities, local governments and the private sector in Africa. The major objective of the study was to assess sustainability development projects implemented by NGOs and to study factors influencing sustainability of NGO Implemented projects in Ethiopia. The case of Farm Africa Ethiopia. Descriptive research design was used in order to determine factors’ influence on sustainability projects. The projects selected as a case for this study was implemented 3 woredas of SNNPRS and 3 woredas in Amhara national regional state and these woredas was study areas of the study. 114 sample HH selected by using multistage probable sampling method. Structured questioner was used to collect data. The collected data analyzed by using quantitative data analysis method. From the studied two projects implemented by farm Africa Ethiopia, the project implemented in Amhara regional state was sustainable whereas the project implemented in SNNPR was not sustainable. The study concluded that close to 26% of the variation in the project sustainability is explained by level of community participation, community capacity building and Monitoring and evaluation practice of the project. Finally, to ensure project sustainability, the study recommended to develop standard project planning and implementation approach, increase meaningful community participation, establish well-functioning monitoring and evaluation system and practice and suggested for farther studies to identify other factors affecting sustainability of projects implemented by NGOs in Ethiopiaen_US
