| dc.description.abstract | Ethiopia is among the first countries to ratify the CRPD.1 However, although there are some positive aspects, the CRPD is not being implemented adequately with regard to the right to inclusive higher education in the Ethiopia. There are virtually no laws aimed at enforcing the right of people with disabilities to inclusive higher education. Students with disabilities at Addis Ababa University face so many challenges in their teaching learning process. In this regard, student with visual impairment have limited access to choose their areas of study and without availability of accessible educational materials, accommodated examinations, without modification of academic requirements, and without sufficient assistive technology, to name a few challenges. Moreover, Students with physical and hearing impairments also face challenges because of lack of reasonable accommodation.
