Abstract

The purpose of this article was to evaluate the role of e-commerce in logistics startups. Most agencies have focused supply chains on competitive advantage as one of the unique traits in recent decades. Recent advancements in informational technology (IT) are, on the other hand, another aspect that is severely transforming corporate circumstances. All firms require a dynamic network based on cooperation in supply chain management in order to get a competitive edge and survive in a market with daily growing changes. A descriptive and explanatory research design was used in this study. A sampling strategy in which each sample has an equal chance of being chosen is known as random sampling. A sample of 154 online stores was judged to be the right sample size to match the population size of 250 shops, as it is designed to be an unbiased representative of the overall population. To determine the impact of ecommerce on supply chain performance and to state other variables, descriptive statistics were utilize The associations between the variables were investigated using correlation and regression analytic techniques, as well as the extent to which the independent variables explained logistics supply chain performance. The findings reveal that there is a considerable beneficial relationship between ecommerce application and logistics performance of online retail stores. The use of ecommerce was discovered to have a significant impact on responsiveness, flexibility, and customer service. But efficiency shows moderate relationship to the application of ecommerce. Therefore online retail shops and platforms need to invest much more on ecommerce applications to benefit and have better supply chain performance especially in the areas of information flow, material flow and financial flow of the supply chain. To improve supply chain performance, the government and other stakeholders must focus more on ecommerce development finally; universities and research institutes should conduct more in-depth studies to assess the status and benefits of ecommerce from a variety of perspectives.
