For the rellsons thllt industries were estllblished without considering the physical and socia-economic background of the loca lities, weak commllnity participation in the indu strialization process and incomplete understanding of the rural livelihood by the Officials of the Region. Furthermore, the industrial expansion, rather than integration, has entailed fear of anticipated land expropriation to tire rural cOllllllunity. As a result, the /JIajority of the Wajitu Dibdibe cOlllllnlnity was skeptical as to their future livelihood sustainability.
