| dc.description.abstract | The study aims to examine the contribution of health development partners to The Health Commodity Management Information System (HCMIS) of the Ethiopian Pharmaceutical Supply Agency. A mixed research approach was used for this study. A questionnaire was used to gather quantitative data from 67 Ethiopian Pharmaceutical Supply Agency (EPSA) employees and development partner (JSI) directors selected using used purposively sampling method for analysis of their views. Also, qualitative data through the key informant interviews and document reviews were analyzed. The respondents were made up of professionals from both EPSA and partners. The study revealed that lack of employment skills, absence of clear mutual accountability, absence of ownership rights of the agency in Health Commodity Management Information System (HCMIS), clear system and strategy/policy alignment and harmonization with health Development partners and EPSA during implementation to monitoring, and evaluation of Health Commodity Management Information System (HCMIS) resulted in hinders to achieve the intended results of health development for the agency. This study recommended both the Development partners and EPSA formulate common systems/strategies and policies they used in the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the Health Commodity Management Information System with clear individual and mutual accountability to achieve the extended goal of EPSA.
