Abstract
This thesis brie
y uses 2D scattering theory and Born approximation of scattering in 2D
with account of the interaction of magnetic moment of an electron and the nanomagnet.
Since the electrons are fermions it has half integral spin either up or down.Due to this, the
scattering amplitudes in this problem are the component spinors. The electrons scattered
by the nanomagnet splits into two parts with opposite direction of spins. They are calcu-
lated as functions of the electron spin orientation, the electron energy and the scattering
angle. In general this is the problem of elastic scattering i.e we don't consider when the
interacting particles are accompanied by a change of internal states. If we consider the
problem as inelastic again it will be another area of research. It is known that the great
mystery in electronics is spin controlling method. So,this thesis considers 2D scattering
of an electron by a magnetized nanoparticle as one of controlling method of spin current.
Finally theory and review literature parts are also carefully referred from di erent sources
as described in reference part
