dc.description.abstract | This study assesses the prevalence of academic procrastination and academic social activity, and the relationship of academic procrastination and academic social activity to academic performance in Bonga College of Teacher Education. The participants of the study were two hundred and twenty one first year diploma students. The findings of the study showed a significant difference in the mean academic procrastination rate among the four fields of study, and a significant difference in academic social activity between different levels of academic ability. Regarding the relationship between academic procrastination and academic performance, it has been found a statistically significant negative relationship between social study students' academic procrastination and academic performance . . There was' also a statistically significant positive relationship between language, natural science and social study students' academic social activity and academic perf01mance. Finally it was found that. academic social activity was a statistically significant positive predictor of language students' academic performance. | en_US |
