Abstract
Hemodialysis the most commonly used renal replacement therapy (RRT) in the world. Arteriovenous fistula (AVF) is the preferred method of vascular access for hemodialysis because of its superior long-term patency and better complication profile compared to arteriovenous graft (AVG) or central venous catheter (CVC). But the advantages of AVF are hampered by high rate of early fistula failure. This study aimed to determine prevalence of early AVF failure and evaluate patient factors associated with early AVF failure to improve vascular access selection and outcomes
