dc.description.abstractThe objective of the study was to assess the Humanitarian Supply Chain Performance of Save the Children Ethiopia. Specifically, this study intended to explore and empirically test the possible relationships among Humanitarian Supply Chain Performance factors such as: Humanitarian Supply Chain Performance with communication, coordination, transporters’ efficiency and infrastructural issues, addressing of the resource to the intended beneficiaries in effectively and efficiently with organizations’ performance on supply chain management. The researcher carried out a systematic literature review to identify variables and their items to design a structured questionnaire. A total of 40 questionnaires were distributed, of which 38 questionnaires were filled and returned which made the response rate of 95%. The relationships proposed in the framework were tested using Spearman’s correlation and used both descriptive and explanatory research design. The result of the analysis shows that there is positive and statistically significant relationship between humanitarian supply chain planning, communications, coordination. On other hand, it is also that there is strong relationship between transporters efficiency and infrastructural issues with the organization performance on supply chain management. Therefore, in order to become competitive and achieve sustainable performance in humanitarian supply chain operation, Save the Children should give due attention to builds Humanitarian Supply Chain Performance in planning, communications, coordination, evaluate the efficiency of 3rd part logistics as well as addressing of the resource to the needy peoples in effective and efficient manner.en_US
