Abstract
The pWjJose o[lhis sludy lIDS 10 assess Ihe approprialeness oflhe Inodlliar leXI, IJrol'ision
of learning malerials, accessibililY o[supporlive services, and Ihe el[orls made by Ihe key
players.
For Ihe silldy, descriplive sllrvey I"as employed whereby firsl hand in[orl11olion were
galhered using mulliple inslrumenls. Accordingly, 324 sludenls, who were selecled by
clusler sampling, have filled in Ihe queslionnaires: and inlerviews were made wilh
purpose[ully selecled 5-biolog), IlIIors, 3-unil coordinalors and a DEMD principal.
Moreover, 3-lulorial cenlas. which were selecled by convenience sampling ,,,ere
observed.
The quanlilalive dala were analyzed using percenlages. The qualilalive dala were
inlerpreled by narraling and supplemenled 10 quanlilalive reslliis.
Some oflhe major findings were: delay in arrival of modular lexl, absence of eleclronic
inslruclionalmedia and olher supplemenlOlY prinled lexls, lack of informalion aboul Ihe
IUlorial session and exam dale, lack of lraining, inconsislency o[ Ihe IlIlorial schedule.

II is concluded Ihal sll/denls' learning was affecled by problems in Ihe provision of
learning malerials, inadequacy o[supporlive services, lack of coordinalion and minimal

of eleclronic media, limely and conslnlClive f eedbacks, in-service Iraining~, and
providing necesscllY supportive services are recommended
