dc.description.abstractProject portfolio management is the management of the organization’s projects so as to maximize the contribution of projects to the overall welfare and success of the enterprise subject to internal and external constraints by maximizing the project value, balancing the portfolio and aligning it with overall company strategy. The main objective of the study was to investigate the effects of project portfolio management on organizational performance in case of Ethiopian electric power. With the aim of this the study employed descriptive study design. The target population of the study was 100 participants in leadership position of the institutions which census method of sampling were employed. The data of the study was analyzed with SPSS 26. Finally the study concludes that the variables of the study have a positive correlation and significant level with the dependent variable organizational performance. Therefore, the study recommend for the concerned bodies about giving attentions and concentration of project portfolio planning, selection and review/evaluation to make it inline of the objectives of the organization.
